A Conversation on Faith, Free Expression, Privacy & Alberta’s Future
Protect Faith is a two-city conversation examining Canada’s changing legal landscape and what it could mean for churches, Christians, freedom of expression, privacy and law enforcement.
The evening will explore Bill C-9, the Combatting Hate Act, which is now law, along with Bill C-22, the Lawful Access Act, 2026, currently before a House of Commons committee, and Bill C-34, the proposed Safe Social Media Act, currently at second reading.
We’ll bring together legal, pastoral, cultural and policing perspectives to discuss what these measures actually say, the protections they contain, the concerns being raised, and their potential implications for faith and freedom in Canada.
The conversation will also look ahead in a non-partisian way to Alberta’s referendum, where Albertans will be asked 10 questions concerning Alberta’s future within Canada.
